Nothin' But Notes is a music-reading basketball game made by Jacob Kazam. This policy explains what data the app accesses, where that data goes, and how to reach us with questions. It is written for the average parent, not a lawyer.
Nothing. Nothin' But Notes does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information about you. The app has no analytics, no advertising, no account system, no servers we operate, and no third-party SDKs. We do not know who is using the app or how often.
The game listens to your instrument through your device's microphone so the notes you play can sink your shot on screen. The audio is analyzed in real time on your device only and is never recorded, never saved, and never transmitted. Audio buffers are processed for pitch detection in memory and immediately discarded as the next sample arrives. Nothing about what you played is retained after you close the app.
When you first need the microphone, iOS will ask you to grant permission. You can change your mind at any time in Settings → Nothin' But Notes → Microphone. The game falls back to its on-screen keyboard if you decline.
Game progress — your player profile (name and avatar), career progress, unlocked levels and modes, high scores, settings, and the coins and cosmetics (jerseys, balls, courts, celebrations) you earn — is saved in your device's local storage so it persists between play sessions. This data never leaves your device. Deleting the app removes it.
Nothin' But Notes is rated 4+ and is designed to be safe for children. Because we collect no personal information from any user, we collect none from children. The app contains no in-app purchases, no third-party links, no advertising, and no chat or social features.
None. The app does not include analytics services, ad networks, social media SDKs, crash reporters, or any other third-party code that communicates with external servers.
